Comfortably Sore

We are a little over two week till our official move date. For the past two weekends, my wife and I have been working out at the new house preparing for the move. Our efforts have been concentrated on the outside. Peg has been working in the beds surrounding the house and I have been busy clearing off the long neglected leach field. Not much had been done to the area since the house was built and it was overgrown with trees, grape vines and all kinds of unknown junk. For the field to work properly, it should be covered in grass rather than trees, so I have been cutting and stacking in preparation for bringing in a chipper to clean up the piles. There are lots of tree stumps to be removed, but just getting the things down was a huge project.

Shortly, we will have to devote our attention to packing in preparation for the move. Rather than working on the outside, we will have to concentrate on the inside. I guess the things I will miss about the outside work are:
1. The fresh air
2. The sunshine
3. The tremendous feeling of accomplishment
4. The glorious tired and sore feeling that lasts for several days after the weekend effort.

It is a feeling of comfortably sore that is a reminder of the work that was accomplished.
